Operations Technician

JOB SUMMARY

 This employee operates production equipment such as roller mill, sieve, blender, and skid steer for media production, maintaining records of project progress including photographic records, perform Operation and Maintenance activities and maintain detailed records. The employee is under the general supervision of the SWIG’s Operations Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

·       Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

·       Maintain equipment in clean and properly functioning state.

·       Maintain detailed records of equipment use and maintenance activities.

·       Follow all safety policies and precautions for operating production related equipment.

·       Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

·       Must possess a valid Florida drivers license and have their own transportation.

·       Some experience in the operation of production equipment is preferred.

• Experience working in construction or industrial setting is preferred.

·       Ability to understand and follow moderately complex written and oral instructions.

·       Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

JOB LOCATION

 This position will be located at the SWIG Research Facility based in Orange Park, Clay County, Florida. The facility contains outdoor pilot testing systems, an indoor laboratory environment, and production area.

PAY RATE/TIME COMMITMENT

·       Pay rate is dependent on level of experience and education.

·       Full-time position.

·       Flexible work hours.
